LEWCO Custom Manual Extendable Belt Conveyor
Recently, LEWCO had a request for a special application from a company that manufactures injection molded gas tanks for the automotive industry. In order to access and change out heavy tooling, the customer required a specially designed belt conveyor system that allowed one of the conveyors to manually extend and retract into their robot cell.
LEWCO application engineers came up with a unique rail system that allowed the customer to easily roll the conveyor back and forth over a large unsupported gap with ease. This feature will save the end user significant down time by allowing quick and easy access to his equipment for frequent tool changes.
