LEWCO Pallet/Tote Return System
LEWCO recently provided an automotive supplier with a system consisting of:
- Poly-V Pop-Up Roller Transfer conveyor
- Multi-Strand Chain conveyor
- Pop-Up Chain Transfer conveyor
- Gravity conveyor
This system handles totes of parts to be conveyed to two different operators. The totes are loaded onto the Multi-Strand Chain conveyor with a fork truck on the left or right side of the system. The operator, when ready for parts, calls for a full tote by pushing the infeed button.
The tote conveys to the Pop-Up Poly-V Roller Transfer and is lifted off the chains. Once the operator empties the tote, the tote is released to the center position by pushing the release button and sent down the gravity section to be removed by a fork truck.
