LEWCO – Direct Conveying of Machined Engine Blocks

A system was needed to buffer automotive engine blocks through operator workstations and processes. Since the engine blocks were already machined, the conveyor rollers needed to be hard chrome plated with a smooth finish.

The engine blocks were required to be conveyed in both upright and inverted orientations, so split-lane CDLR was used in flat and V-trough configurations. LEWCO turntables rounded out the list of supplied equipment for this order.
